Time Study Systems

Many time study systems were developed in the latest 100 years. A general overview would take us to far. The most important methods are chronometrics and tempo validation, with predetermined times based on human movements and object handling.

The systems that are well-known usually come out of the group of predetermined times, based on human movements, since these are tempo independant.

Time study used to be a full-time activity, but nowadays engineers just sporadically come into contact with the skill. Knowledge is fading away. Merely scanning for which technique to use is already very cumbersome.

Inspired by MTM and TRIZ, P41 developed a technique to get to drastic improvements, where normation of time seconds the main goal of innovation.
